This is such a surreal thing for me to announce, and honestly, it’s a dream come true. As everyone knows, we here at The Pixel Parlor LOVE gaming. It’s pretty much why we started on this journey to begin with. The people who know me personally are well aware that I like to carve my own path in the things I’m passionate about. Gaming is no exception. There is a force within me that drives me to just do my own thing in the realm of all I find interesting.

It’s been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid to create my own games. When I was in 5th grade attending a small school in Moselle, Mississippi, I even designed my own Star Wars pen and paper strategy game that I got 60% of students to play. It was an awesome little game, and that, along with writing, it was one of the childhood passions of mine that followed me into adulthood. Something about people being entertained by the creations I make really is a driving force of why I pursue the various forms of storytelling that I do. Man, this has been something I’ve been wanting to start for such a long time, and the fact that I’m writing this now is wild.

I’m so freaking excited to announce my first ever game, published through The Pixel Parlor: The Night is Long!

What is The Night Is Long?

It’s a survival horror game of cat and mouse. You are trapped within the haunted halls of a dark mansion trying to find the way out. Each door is locked, preventing your escape. You tirelessly travel the dark corridors of the mansion’s rotting floors to locate the keys that’ll grant you your freedom. You’re not alone, however. Someone stalks you from the shadows to make sure you don’t leave. He wants you to stay with him. Forever.

If you’re unlucky enough to come face to face with the relentless killer, do not engage with him. He is armed and EXTREMELY dangerous. RUN. As you explore, you’ll discover certain areas that would be excellent places to hide, allowing you to momentarily escape the grasp of the maniac hunting you. There is no reasoning with him. There is no beating him. Your only option is to find the key to escape the mansion.

Keys to progress through the mansion are dispersed randomly throughout the many tables, drawers, and even sinks that players can interact with. This ensures that no two playthroughs are the same, allowing players to always come back when they are ready to brave the killer’s mansion again for a fun, fast-paced horror experience. Good luck…
