Today is the day! Our first game ever, The Night Is Long, has officially released for Gameboy! We’re incredibly stoked for everyone to dive into the deadly halls of the old, abandoned Blackwood Manor. Be careful though adventurers, those seemingly empty halls may not be as empty as you would like to believe.
Our first game has been met with such amazing praise by all of our alpha and beta testers, and we’re so thankful for the time and work they put in to help us improve our little horror game. Above all else, we wanted to thank our partners over at AntiDimension Games for helping us not only with this title, but for helping us establish ourselves as true Gameboy game developers.
The Gameboy consoles are all such amazing pieces of hardware, and so legendary in gaming history that it was a no brainer to put all of our focus into releasing new games on the handheld. With the release of THe Night Is Long, we have our eyes set on the future with more games in development that cross genres from adventure to even RPGs. The future is so bright for The Pixel Parlor’s new game studio, with us officially making it an establishment in the very near future.
However, today we celebrate the release of this game. Our little piece of horror, forever in a loop of chaos trapped within the Blackwood Manor. You can now play The Night Is Long on our website, or download the ROM for FREE for your own personal use. All we ask is that you do not share the ROM, but instead direct people to download it themselves from the Pixel Parlor website so we can keep an accurate count of how many downloads we receive.
Thank you everyone for your support on bringing this game to life, and we’ll see you in the halls!
The Night Is Long is available NOW for Gameboy and Gameboy Color emulators with a physical release coming soon.
